Attractive supporting programme announced

The motto: “10th World Cup anniversary in Dusseldorf”

Fire, ice and a unique circus atmosphere: At its tenth anniversary the supporting programme during the FIS Cross-Country World Cup in Dusseldorf (December 3-4) will again meet the highest demands, offering particularly family-friendly entertainment besides abundant music along the World Cup course. August Pollen, head of the organisation: “10 years of World Cup events in Dusseldorf, it will be a great festival with entertainment for everybody!”

The visitors can enjoy a multifaceted programme on Burgplatz on Saturday (10-22hrs) and Sunday (10-18hrs). The kids can participate in circus workshops at the ‘Join-in Tent’, tinker, paint their faces, juggle and much more. Outside there will be the popular ARAG tobogganing track, a children’s merry-go-round, a children’s railway, the play mobile, impostors and jugglers as every year – and last but not least the Snow Bear of JEVER Ski Hall Neuss.

World Cup ‘evergreen’ DJ Charly from JEVER Ski Hall Neuss will once again heat up the fans on the banks of the Rhine. Among others, pop singer Joerg Bausch and the successful Rhenish party band ‘Rabaue’ will perform live. The band’s lead singer Peter Kempermann can hardly wait for the ski spectacle in Dusseldorf to begin: “As we are enthusiastic skiers ourselves, this is a special event for us and we are very much looking forward to it.”

The FIS Cross-Country World Cup has been held in North-Rhine Westphalia’s capital since 2002 and thus will take place for the tenth time this year. The sportAgentur Düsseldorf, the ‘allrounder mountain resort GmbH & co. kg‘ and the ‘West German Regional Ski Association’ are the joint organisers of this event attracting much international attention.
