The first snow

„a Milestone“

The snow has arrived. In the night from Wednesday to Thursday a truck dumped the first of approximately 120 loads of the white powder down at the riverbank for the tenth FIS Cross Country World Cup Düsseldorf. Overall almost 4000 cubic meters of snow will be disposed and groomed on the 830-Meter-Track by early Saturday morning.

At exactly 09.15 pm on Saturday the National Team Coaches,  accompanied by representatives of the International Ski Federation (FIS), will inaugurate and approve the race track. August Pollen, Chief Operater of the Düsseldorf World Cup, witnessed the first snow loads arriving at the venue and said: “Seeing the first snow loads arrive here is always some kind of a milestone – after months of preparation it just shows that we are about ready to go.”

Christina Begale, managing director of the Düsseldorf sportsAgency: “The Arrival of the snow is an impressive occasion every time again. We are looking forward to another successful World Cup weekend.”
