Information on Short-term Frequency Use / Application
Under section 55 of the Telecommunications Act (TKG) each use of frequencies in Germany requires prior assignment. Unless a general frequency assignment has been issued, the Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railway makes individual assignments. Where frequencies are intended to be used for a short time only, eg for car races, sports events, concerts and trade fairs, short-term assignments will be issued based on a simplified procedure.
